Live coding is an art form where code is written in real time to make music, graphics, and patterns. Strudel is a community driven language for live coding music based on algorithmic patterns. It is a version of TidalCycles for the Browser, which you can run by simply visiting strudel.cc. The workshop will be conducted by Felix Roos, the co-creator of Strudel, teaching the basics of pattern-based music making, along with techniques of improvisation and collaboration. Participants will have the freedom to explore at their own pace. No prior coding or musical knowledge is required.
